It keeps you on a good deal. You get a personalised comparison to start, then we re-check the market against your latest usage about every three months, around the 1 July price changes, and when your retailer changes your rates where we can detect it. Each bill you send is scored against the forecast. If a plan beats yours by more than your threshold, you get a report that leads with the number; if not, you hear nothing but a short note. Always On adds daily monitoring for newly released or materially changed plans and an alert when a genuinely better deal appears.
Yes, from your report page, and the A$9.99 you paid is credited: a year of Energy Watch costs A$19.01 instead of A$29. Your report and profile carry over, so the checks start from what we already know.
Yes, any time, from your report page. No lock-in. Cancel any time from your report page: nothing more is charged, and we keep checking until the end of the year you've paid for. No exit fee, and we remind you 14 days before a yearly renewal. The one-off check never renews, so there is nothing to cancel.
Sometimes you are already on a good deal, and the report will say so plainly. If the first search cannot produce a recommendation at all, for example because the address is outside South East Queensland or a bill cannot be read after a retry, you get a full refund.
No. No commissions, referral fees, affiliate links, sponsored placements or data sales, from any retailer, on any plan. Links to retailers in your report are plain links with no tracking. Many comparison services are free because retailers pay them when you switch; you pay us instead, which is the whole reason the service costs money and the reason you can trust the answer.
